Red, White, and Rideworthy
This July, Dirk and I walked into OCC Road House & Museum for the first time. Neither of us dressed in leather and neither of us had ever ridden a motorcycle, but it didn't matter. That's the value of good branding. It doesn't ask you to believe something. It invites you inside it and lets you belong.
Three things I rode away with:
- Built with purpose
OCC didn't tell me their history. They built a museum around it. These bikes were built for people who'd never meet the builder but felt seen anyway, including a beautiful 9/11 memorial tribute bike that stopped me in my tracks. - No part left idle
Custom motorcycle chairs to sit in. A menu cheeky enough to make you laugh out loud. Even the bathroom sink handles looked like handlebars. Nothing was an afterthought. - No strangers on this road
Foosball, pool tables, cornhole, a concert that closed out the night allowed for Dirk and I to be casual, relaxed, and have a good time. And of course Boomer made friends with all the folks in leather jackets and staff by the time we left.

Moment of Gratitude
I'm grateful to be welcomed by the 50 x 100 foot American flag. Over 300 pounds of it waving proudly in the wind. You cannot ask for a better greeting than that. I'm thankful and blessed to have grown up in this country that allows me to build and create for those around me. Here's to 250 more years!
Does your brand's welcome hit like 300 pounds, or does it barely wave?
